Exciting New Changes for Soapoint Graphics

This past year has been a crazy and captivating one with some downs but mostly ups. As many of you may have known, we have undergone many new changes, including team members, locations, avenues of service, personal influences and all the exhilarating growth and advancement that has come from it all. It has been one hectic ride and now we are poised for even more success and development.

Recently, our growth has come from added advanced equipment, fresh personnel, the latest truck wrap, improved directions for Soapoint and much more. Some of the recent equipment comes in the form of: a 64" Large Format 6 Color Digital Printer, a 54" Vinyl Plotter, and a 65" Laminator. Plus, a wide variety of materials to produce your next project. Also, we have been upping our game in the screen printing area and have acquired some new equipment there as well. Don't you need some t-shirts printed?

Also, we are more than excited to bring back Darius Vale! Many may be familiar with Darius as he is one of the OG's in the Soapoint business. He is now serving as our Production Manager and also Men's Apparel Creative Director. He brings to the team a keen eye for design and detail and isn't afraid of getting dirty working in the shop either! With our ever expanding team here, we look forward to seeing who else gets thrown into the eclectic mix next.

Have you seen the new truck wrap? Following the loss of the Cadillac and the Urban Assault Wrap, we had the opportunity to create something unconventional and exciting on the new 2004 Ford F150 truck. The wrap is a "Fashion" inspired mix of custom built fabric patterns, detailed stitching and surprising accents that tie the whole concept together. Be sure to check out our recent Soapoint Graphics Blog about the new wrap.

Through all the tireless times this past year our future is looking brighter than ever. We are so excited to be offering more services and better quality to our clients and to also to take our business and yours to the next level!

Wrap your Ride! You have seen ours, now lets do yours. Wrapping your vehicle is one of the most effective forms of advertising. It literally is a moving billboard that reaches an astounding 30,000 to 70,000 people per day, if you are out driving the roads everyday. That is nearly 10 million to 25 million impressions a year! Not only are they a fantastic way to advertise your company, but they are also an investment into the life of your vehicle's exterior. As long as the wrap is on (and taken care of) it will protect your vehicle in the covered areas from minor weather, driving/road conditions, and everyday wear and tear.

A vinyl wrap for your vehicle is basically a giant, extremely durable sticker. It is installed by professional installers and printed on the highest quality materials. Pricing depends on your vehicle and the square footage. You definitely get your monies worth as they last from 3-5 years (properly maintained) and they can also bring your company countless future business.

Here at Soapoint we are your One-Stop-Shop for vehicle wraps. We design, print and install. We have exceptional and talented Graphic Designers, the highest quality printing equipment and project materials and the most experienced installers in the business. We can help you through every step of the way and make sure your whole project turns out to be better then you ever expected! Be sure to see some of the wraps we have done here at Soapoint under Wraps and give us a call today for a free quote!

A Revolution in Dry Cleaning

You may have heard of or seen Revolution Cleaners, whether it be one of the many new locations they have been opening, or maybe one of their eye-catching wrapped vehicles they drive all around town. Plus, they are also the Official Dry Cleaners for the Denver Nuggets. They are an innovative company using CO2 to clean clothes, which is also environmentally friendly. The innovation doesn't just stop with there product and the environment, it also extends into their marketing and design.

Almost a year ago we began working with Revolution Cleaners; they were going through a massive new branding and growing of the company and they needed a graphics company to help with their needs. One of our first projects with them was wrapping a Tesla, that turned out to be an awesome promo product. It was an exciting challenge installing it and we loved the project. Since then we have wrapped 2 other vehicles, a scooter, done numerous banners and stickers, created custom acrylic displays, and several store front graphics. Soapoint has also produced and installed four new Outdoor Lighted Channel Letter Signs.

Revolution Cleaners is an awesome client and truly lets us show our abilities to help in many different areas. We love being able to help a company with all their graphic needs and also help them to grow! In addition everyone over there has been amazing and we look forward to continued future work. Also, soon to be on the streets...a new custom designed and wrapped Express Van, keep an eye out for it!

Look out for the Jim Beam Party Crew Ride!

When Beam Global/Jim Beam was looking for a young, fresh youthful and exciting feel for their new Party Crew Dodge Nitro wrap, they called Soapoint Graphics. Not only did they call us because they knew we would give them an amazing design, product and install, but they called us because of the lasting relationship we have built with them. This isn't the first project we have done for Beam Global and I'm sure it won't be the last. One of the largest and most elaborate projects we have completed with them is a 30' Party Bus for their Maker's Mark Nation wide promotion tour. Check out pics of the party bus and also more from the Jim Beam Dodge Nitro wrap on our website GALLERY We love working with them and this project was something new and fun to be a part of. Beam Global loved the final product and we loved being able to work with a valued client as well as give them an amazing product and service.

Next time your at that convention or tradeshow, take a look at the booths. The professional, eye-catching display grabs attention. The folding table with homemade banner...not so much. Promoting your company is one of the most important things you can do, and at conventions/tradeshows you only get one opportunity to capture a potiental client's attention. If your display is lacking you won't attract the attention you won't register on their radar. Making the investment in an amazing display tells passersby that you are serious and passionate about your business and your clients.

The best way to get your business noticed at a tradeshow or convention is to get a Pop-Up Display and/or Banner Stand. Printed with your company's logo, info and whatever else you would like to showcase, they make a high visual impact and draw the client in. There are many different options for pop-up displays as well as banner stands, certainly something for everyone.

Investing in a tradeshow/convention display doesn't have to cost you an arm and a leg. We refer to it as an investment because these modular displays and signage can be used time and time again. From brochures, pens, key chains, t-shirts and stickers to banners, signage and modular display systems, Soapoint has you covered.

Graphics Compound is Operational

We've relocated to 80 S. Raritan from our former address at 2936 Larimer. We've put in extreme hours for the last 30 days prepping this compound to be the finest in the region for custom graphics creation. Walls have disappeared. New walls have reappeared. Painting has been done. Lights installed. We're pleased to report that we are now operational! More upgrades are planned for the near future. We're really excited to be back at work in this new facility. "This warehouse brings us to a whole new level of service--one that will help the Soapoint Star shine even brighter on the Denver horizon," says owner Mike Hornbeck.

A Calendar for a Cure

When non-profits need a helping hand, Soapoint is primed to back them up. Soapoint worked with the National Multiple Sclerosis Society on several projects in the past, so we were honored when they approached us about doing a 2010 calendar. Kaylin Downour and Lisa Helme at the MS Society headed up the project, supplying an amazing outline for the calendar and photos, plus great creative direction. Mike at Soapoint worked with the team, dialing in the 28-page calendar layout. The calendar is a tribute to the people and families that support a cure for MS through events like MS Walk and MS Bike. These events raise millions for the cause annually. The feedback from Lisa Heleme at the MS Society was rewarding in itself: "Man, you really pulled together a great calendar quickly. I'm glad you're enjoying the work...we're lucky to have your partnership in this project." We are all highly pleased with the outcome. You can view a few images of the calendar at www.soapointgraphics.com. To find out how you can help find a cure for Multiple Sclerosis go to www.nationalmssociecty.org.

That said, in every Soapoint e-newsletter we will showcase a particular product and/or specific service offered here...at Soapoint.

Everyone needs business cards, whether it be for your business, job, or just a sweet calling card for yourself. Business cards are the first impression you make when meeting someone new. Wimpy, flimpsy or poorly-designed cards leave the wrong impression, but if you have an amazing, durable exciting card. Durable, exciting cards give you an advantage. We offer two types of cards: our World Famous HeavyWeight Business Card and our Locally Known LightWeight.

The World Famous HeavyWeight is the top-of-the-line and a sound investment. Made of heavier card stock (15pt), it features optional matte or glossy finish and a choice in square or rounded corners. This is definitely our pick as it makes a professional and bold statement.

We also offer an economy option, our Locally Known LightWeight Business Card. This card is produced on 100lb cover stock with a matte or glossy and square or rounded corners options. By no means is this card wimpy or flimsy, but it does offer a less expensive option for our clientele. Plus, we can turn this card around in about 3 days!

Tesla Wrap Turns Out Electric!

Check out the unbelievable pic of the Tesla we wrapped above....phenomenal! This wrap was exceptionaly exciting for us, it's not every day that we get to wrap a rare electric sports car for the official cleaners of the Denver Nuggets. Revolution Cleaners brought us their brand new completely electric car to wrap and we teamed up with Mighty Karma to turn up the amperage on the Tesla. The Tesla proposed a unique challange for both it's design and installation. This wrap posed several challenges for the team, with all of the complex curves and impossibly hard to reach body lines.  Jessica, from Mighty Karma did the marvelous design and we worked hand in hand together to make sure the final product would be worthy of the vehicle it was on.  When we were all done, we knew we had done something amazing and were ready for the next challenge.

Busting at the Seams.

After only 6 months of time at the Larimer location we are busting at the seams. After some searching and deliberation we are moving to 80 S. Raritan in Denver. This location is still incredibly central, (take the alameda exit from I-25, head west, take your first right on Platte River and follow around to Raritan, hang a right and we are at the end of the block) and is a specialized wrap facility with 3500 square feet of production and installation space.  We will be operating out of this new location on the 16th of November. The move will allow us to tackle larger projects, and serve our existing and new clientelle on a whole new level.  Word on the street is there may be a warehouse warming party soon, we will keep you posted.

Thanks for supporting Soapoint, give us a call or stop by to tell us about your next project. Good luck out there.

DISH me up some of that!

September 27 2010 - 7:43am by mike

Exdo Event center held Westwards’ 2010 DISH.  A wild evening filled with music, performance, and of course food from over 37 restaurants in the Denver area. Super cool. The Event also featured a few other non-food vendors such as Soapoint Graphics and several beverage companies.

The Westword gang needed to solve a problem for the DISH. The year before all of the restaurant names were featured on the front of each table in the event center. The problem formed once the crowd filled the room and you couldn’t read the signs anymore. Enter Soapoint. We devised some inexpensive, but highly effective sign stands that enabled us to get the restaurant names above the crowd. This allowed you to pick out your favorite spot for a nibble, or to remember the name of the guys that just hooked you up with some free grub.  Custom stands, custom signs, real results.

Along with our involvement in the interior signage, we also did some other way finding signs throughout the event, as well as some simple, yet effective banners on some existing hardware on the building outside of the event. These banners hung for a week before the show and helped with awareness. Looking good Westword!

Behind the venue in the alley, there were also a string of vendors in what was known as DISH Alley. Who better to pull up the end slot on this area than Soapoint Graphics.  We brought in our new mobile screen print station, set up shop and got down to cooking up some sweet custom shirts. The press features a 2 screen scenario that would allow a 2 color print, or dual 1 color prints. The booth was simplistic, with lots of sweet stuff to give away. Darius Vale of Soapoint Graphics put it down with some custom Soapoint designs for the event. We brought in 4 colors of shirts and had an option of 2 graphics. How sweet for a FREE T-Shirt! There were people lined up and down the alley to get a piece of the Soapoint action.  Some free stickers and great friends topped off the evening. It was pretty dope to be part of the Westword action, and to leave our SPG mark on the event. See ya next year!

2010 Gravity Challenge

July 19 2010 - 12:47pm by mike

2010 Gravity Challenge

It was another fun experience for us at the 2010 Gravity Challenge Skate/BMX Competition. It was held at the Redstone Skate Park in Highlands Ranch and hosted many talented kids that tore up the park. This was the first competition for the Highlands Ranch Metro District that also included BMX in the line-up, and it was a success! So many kids and young adults came out to mash alongside each other, it was an energy filled day.

We have previously teamed up with the HR Metro District for other skate comps and when they asked us to be a part of this year’s Gravity Challenge, we jumped at the chance. As many of you know, we not only love to help out in our community in any way we can, but a few of the keys players around Soapoint are very passionate about the skate/bmx world and they were thrilled to be involved. We created custom designed t-shirts and stickers for the event that were included in the prize packs and also just handed out. We showed up in full support and were there to hang with all the riders and boarders.

The turnout was better than expected and everyone was there to have a blast. All the participants in the various competitions held during the day were all amazing! Every time I attend one of these events I am always blown away by some of the hidden talent out there.  There was even a 6 year old little boy who hit the jumps on his miniature bmx bike like a true pro. It was a fun day enjoyed by all and the kids loved our support and they especially loved the stickers and t-shirts. Click here to see a great pic from the competition. We always have a dynamite time and we love helping with these events. We can’t wait to help with the next competition, and maybe even have our own……keep an eye out!

Racing to Success

June 08 2010 - 11:32am by mike

Racing to Success

When 3ZERO3 Motorsports needed a sick wrap done for a Volkswagen GTI for the SCCA Pro Racing World Challenge Touring Car Championship, they called Soapoint Graphics. The race, which lets companies and pros prove their knowledge and skills on the track, took place in Ontario, Canada at the Mosport International Raceway. With renowned Robb Holland driving the 3ZERO3 sponsored car, he set record by turning the fastest lap ever recorded in track history and placed with a podium finish in the top 3. The high placing position was a true victory, with having the VW GTI totally torn apart, rebuilt, tested and back to the track within 27 days!

With only having 27 days to get the whole car completely ready for the race, it was definitely a crazy deal! We received the call that we needed to design, print and install a wrap for a race car within one week. We jumped at the challenge and got to work basing design parameters and size from email relayed dimensions, and internet sourced photos.  3ZERO3 and Soapoint Graphics worked together to nail down the final design and from there we went to print.

The install came down to the wire as the cars arrival date pushed back later and later. The car was still being prepped and tuned all weekend and we finally got it late Monday night. Soapoint dedicated installers wrapped into the twilight to make the Tuesday morning ship date.

It was a very exciting and fast process and everyone was super ecstatic in the end with the final product. Here at Soapoint we thrive on unique situations and are always up for the challenge. This race car was a quick turn around and took a commitment level that we uphold every day. Working overnight to get the car wrapped and shipped out was just another example of how we do it around here; we love your clients and the lasting relationships we create! Thanks to 3ZERO3 Motorsports for the opportunity and also check out their BLOG about the car, the race and the whole experience! To see more pics of the wrapped racer, check out our GALLERY.

New Soapoint Wrap Sewn Together

April 27 2010 - 5:56pm by mike

New Soapoint Wrap Sewn Together

After the sad loss of the Soapoint Cadillac and the Urban Assault Wrap, we knew we were going to have a challenge in coming up with something unique and amazing for the new 2004 Ford 150 truck’s wrap.  We could go in many different areas and get as crazy or as mellow as we liked.  The Cadi was a very exciting, loud graphic with tanks, guns, city scenes, planes and even a custom poem written by Mike Hornbeck, the Owner. For the new truck we wanted to go in a different direction, something more subduded, that could appeal to a whole different audience, yet we kept the design something unrivaled and fresh, in true Soapoint fashion.

Much of the beginnings of Soapoint were in fashion, and lately we have been making motion in the apparel game. Keeping with the roots of Soapoint and the fashion influence of today we came up with a “Fashion” themed wrap for the new truck. Mike (Owner and Designer), played with many different concepts for fabrics, patterns, layout, coloring, etc. He even referenced old design sketches and past wrap concepts for the new design. The final product was sharp, with a custom built textile pattern, detailed stitching and realistic “clothing tags”. There was even an obscure embossed Soapoint Star on the hood. The mixture of the custom plaid pattern and life-like leather offered an unexpected textural treat for the eyes.  “We love this wrap because it represents Soapoint’s  ability to be versatile, edgy and one of a kind”,  Kimberly McCoy (Director). Also, with every wrap we do on our vehicles we are appealing to different clients, this may not be your particular taste but Soapoint Graphics has done and will do just about anything you would like for your wrap. Be sure to stop by the Gallery on the website to see more photos of wraps we have done and let your ideas star to flow.

Definitely keep an eye out on the streets for this wrap, not only Denver streets, but occasionally you may see us cruising in Kansas as well.  Check out this photo of the newly wrapped truck back in Kansas, here . So whether you just like to see the creative wraps or would like one for yourself, give us a call or stop by, we would love to begin “Stitching together  a relationship with you”.
